Homemade, All-Natural Facial Mask
Do you often find yourself stressed out at the end of a long day? Lots of people feel that way. To help manage this stress, you should sit back and relax while you try this new facial mask that you can make all by yourself at home.
Ingredients (makes 2 servings)
• Alcohol free lotion (1/4 cup)
• Mint leaves (ground, 1 tbsp.)
• Lemon or lime zest (1 tbsp.)
• Aloe vera leaves*
• Lavender (ground, 1 tsp.)
• Calendula (optional, ground, 1 tbsp.)
*You can also buy aloe vera gel.
Step 1: Combine lotion and mint leaves in a small bowl until the mixture is pale green.
Step 2: Add lemon or lime zest to the pale green lotion and mint mixture. Combine until you cannot see the zest clearly anymore. (60-75 seconds)
Step 3: Carefully slice the aloe vera leaves and squeeze out the gel. Once you have 1 teaspoon of gel, add it to the mixture. Stir until you have reached your desired consistency.
Step 4: Combine lavender and calendula in a separate bowl. Add the lavender and calendula to the mix. If you chose not to use the calendula, just add the lavender to the mix.
To use the facial mask properly, you must follow these instructions.
First, apply the mask to your cheeks and chin. It will make your skin tingly, but the feeling will go away after about 5 minutes. Next, apply the mask to your forehead if desired. Typically, you only want to apply the mask to your cheeks and chin. If not, you will use the entire mask up in one usage. Here are some basic safety guidelines for you to review: Never ingest, apply away from eyes, and keep away from young children ages 4 and under. You may also want to assist children ages 5 through 9.
