Connections Academy Virtual School Featured on TodayShow.com
Have you ever been put on the spot to explain what it’s like to attend a virtual school like Connections Academy? Jewlyin “JC” Cooper, a 10th grade student at Commonwealth Connections Academy, had the opportunity to explain it to millions on TodayShow.com and did an outstanding job!
When speaking about attending a virtual school, JC says, “I can do it wherever. I could go to Bangkok if I want to!” I appreciate the smile and little laugh he adds. As the TodayShow.com interview continues, his parents, Shenelle and Peter Cooper explain that they expect their kids to be ready each day to start the virtual school day the same way students in a traditional school setting are expected to go to school.
JC’s parents exemplify the dedication it takes to be Learning Coaches. Shenelle says, “It is a lot of parent involvement.” and she demonstrates that it can be done and the benefits are well worth it.
