Benjamin Franklin was a particularly talented man for his era and is considered one yet. Not merely was he one of our founding fathers, he was a writer, printer, inventor, diplomat, and scientist. He invented the bifocals, lightning rod, and numerous other creations. He was perpetually discovering ways to develop things and enhance them. His legacy is a legendary treasure to history.
Benjamin Franklin was a diplomat from 1776-1783. He was the only man to sign all of the furthermost significant documents of American antiquity: The Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States, the Treaty of Alliance with France, and the Treaty of Peace with Great Britain.
His most widespread inventions include, the bifocals, lightning rod, and the Franklin stove. Others were the library chair, odometer, swim fin, and armonica; a horizontal case with a lever, which is connected to a shaft, which revolves a series of close-fitting glass disk together, which when pressured by damp hands makes a bell-like resonance. He also experimented with electricity.
He established a hospital, organized a fire department, formed a specialized association for intellectuals called the American Philosophical Society, assisted to inaugurate the first subscription library known to the American colonies, and helped found what eventually the University of Pennsylvania became.
Benjamin Franklin was a man who gave to the world, rather than attempt making income out of it. He never thought of marketing his inventions, he instead created luxuries for all people to use. He was vastly much loved by most; in France they showed their appreciation by putting his face on merchandise. His bequest is an unforgettable gift to the world.
