Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas!
By Madelin S.
Valentine’s Day is the day to give the special someone in your life something nice. Many people think that the more expensive the gift is, the more the person will like it. That’s not always true. Read on to hear about some awesome inexpensive gift ideas!
One thing that you can do yourself is write a poem for the special person. Something like: “Roses are red, violets are blue, and you’re so awesome and cool too.” Just remember, poems do not always rhyme. These poems should make the person feel good about themselves.
Many people buy store bought cards for Valentine’s Day, but the card always means more when you write it. Cards can be as simple as saying how great the person is or how they light up the room with their smile.
Flowers almost always make people smile. When picking flowers, make sure to pick the flower that most reminds you of the person. Choose flowers such as daisies, tulips, roses, etc. Make sure to note whether or not the person is allergic to any types of flowers. If the person is allergic to flowers it’s best not to buy them.
A lot of people love chocolate. If your special person loves chocolate, why not buy chocolates? A lot of stores carry boxed chocolates, especially around Valentine’s Day. There are a lot of different types of chocolate, like white chocolate, milk chocolate, and dark chocolate. Find out what the person likes and then go from there. Read the labels on the boxes to see what types of chocolate are in the box and what the chocolates look like. Try to find a box of chocolate that is heart shaped, it beams Valentine’s Day. Make sure to find out what the person is allergic to, so you know what they can and cannot have.
How to give your special person their gift:
Handing it in person-
When handing the gift, remember to look into their eyes, do not look at the ground. Stand up straight and be positive. Hand the person the gift and even chat a little.
Leaving it on their doorstep or on their desk-
When leaving the gift, if you want them to know who gave the gift, leave your name on the card (if you give one) or on the bag. Remember to put “to” and “from”. If the gift is supposed to be from a secret admirer, just write who it is for.
Thank you for reading and happy Valentine’s Day!
